In 1998, having just graduated, Phuc Van Dang and I got the job to design a mobile experience for young mobile phone users for TeleDanmark, the leading Danish telecom at the time.
TeleDanmark had the foresight to see that mobile experience would be come an important channel and wanted to build a goodwill relationship with younger users, who in time would be come customers.
The site offered the ability to download ringtones and gifs and remained one of the top 10 websites in Denmark up until it was closed for good in 2004.
While the functionalities of the site was constantly revised and change to keep up with the accelerating innovations of the mobile phone industry, the visual identity and design was left virtually untouched and held its ground through out the site’s lifespan.
This project launched my digital career and in 1999 I moved to London and have enjoyed a successful career since.
